Andrea Butelmann has a PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago. Her works have been mostly focused on market regulation. She was the Minister of the Tribunal for the Defence of Free Competition; Chief of the Market Development Division at the Ministry of Economy and President of the Central Anti-Monopoly Preventive Commission.
She is currently the Director of the Applied Economics Master’s Program at Alberto Hurtado University. She has also been a professor at the University of Chile, Pontifical Catholic University, Adolfo Ibañez and Diego Portales.
