Lawyer from the Pontificia Catholic University of Chile, PhD in Political Science and MSc in Democracy and Democratisation from the University College London. Currently, he is a professor at the School of Politics and International Relations and Deputy Dean for Education at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Queen Mary University of London.
He has published works on populism and misinformation, electoral preferences for local candidates, behavior and preferences of party members, and the formation of social capital on the Internet, among other topics. He is editor-in-chief of the academic journal “Politics”.
