A lawyer from the University of Chile she holds a Masters in Environmental Law from the Panthéon-Sorbonne University of Paris I. She has been a professor of Environmental Law at the University of Chile since 2000, where she additionally serves as the director of the Centre for Environmental Law and teaches the environmental clinics course, and is a postgraduate teacher; she is also the director of the Association for Female Lawyers in Chile.
She has worked as a lawyer, advisor and environmental consultant for various private and public institutions. She is currently a counsellor at the Centre for International Sustainable Development Law (CISDL) and director of the Association for Female Lawyers in Chile. She was a member of the National Lithium Commission.
She is the author of numerous publications and has participated as a panellist at various seminars, congresses and national and international meetings in the areas of environmental law, natural resources and sustainability.
