Since our inception, transparency has been a fundamental axis, not only as a subject of study, but also as an institutional value that we apply in our operation and funding model. In this section, you can find details about what we do and who supports us.
According to its current funding policy, Espacio Público’s funds can only come from international sources, academic entities, public funds destined to the development of independent studies, personal contributions from its directors and contributions from collaborators: individuals over 18 years of age and/or legal entities, but subject to strict restrictions to avoid conflicts of interest (specified here and in our institutional report).
Espacio Público is financed through specific projects or consultancies, which have a specific scope and duration (for more details, click here). Some of the funding sources currently supporting our projects are:
- International Development Research Centre (IDRC)
- National Endowment for Democracy (NED)
- Fundación Colunga
- Ford Foundation
- Embassy of the United States in Chile
- Pan American Development Foundation – PADF
- BHP Billiton
- UNESCO
- Embassy of Canada in Chile
- Southern Voice
