Youth, Education and Employment
Chile has made progress in access to school education, but there are still large gaps, especially in the vocational training during secondary education, which represents almost half of student enrollments in Chile and concentrates students from households with lower income. On the other hand, in many aspects the supply of training and employment reproduces inequalities rather than reversing them. In addition to the socioeconomic ones, important gender inequalities predominate. At Espacio Público we seek to better understand these problems and move forward with concrete solutions and public policy recommendations.
