Studied Law at the University of Chile, Literature and Philosophy at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and has a postgraduate degree in Renaissance Art History from the University of degli Studi di Firenze. He is the founder and director of The Clinic newspaper.

He has worked in media most of his career; and is the founder and director of The Clinic newspaper and theclinic.cl. He is also host of the “Desde Zero”, radio show on Radio Zero. He is the author of non-fiction books, including Ferrantes, Los Nenes, and La calle me distrajo; and he also writes articles for the magazines Gatopardo (México), Soho (Colombia), Piauí (Brasil) and El País (España).
